Concept International GmbH, Munich was established in 2003 as the European representative for DT Research, Inc. (Silicon Valley). Over the course of the years, Concept International GmbH has developed into an European distributor and service center for various manufacturers in the areas of:
• Wireless Tablet-PCs with touchscreen
• Rugged Handhelds / PDAs
• Mini PCs (smallest, power-saving, fan-less 24-hour PCs)
• Industrial Panel-PCs (fanless PC integrated into touchscreen monitor)
• All-in-One PCs (for POS, POI and Medical use)
• Kiosk Terminals and Public Displays, Digital Signage Hardware
Today, about 10 employees work in downtown Munich in marketing, project management, assembly and support. Our customers include system integrators such as Bechtle, German Telekom, as well as distributors like ALLDIS, for example.
DT Research, Inc. was established in the Silicon Valley in 1995 and, today, remains the primary supplier for Concept International GmbH. The central focus of DT Research is know-how with regards to product design, high-quality custom production and management oriented on customer requirements. The fourth generation of Tablet-PCs is now being produced with quantities increasing.
In 2008, DT Research developed a digital signage system (meaning multimedia signage system) for deployment in the Pejing airport for the Olympic Games. This system allows practically every type of information and multimedia advertisement to be presented and controlled by both scheduling and remote control using more than 1,000 displays. Thanks to the capabilities provided by touch screens, interactive visitor information systems can be realized, which can easily be fed web-based content. Today more than 5000 Screens are managed by this system. This system is separately explained at www.telemercial.com together with smaller, less expensive versions.
